He began working at a club manufacturer at the age of 20, learning all processes from material knowledge to forging and polishing techniques over a period of approximately 10 years. From that time on, the heads that Chiba made gained a reputation among professionals and industry insiders, and he went independent.
He then founded the current company, Zodia, together with Miyachi.
One of the unique features of Chiba's polishing is that each iron set, from 3I to PW, is polished individually. This process creates a natural sense of unity in the progression of the irons.
